Very exciting day - trip to Suomussalmi. The first stop at Jaloniemi, where we met our fantastic guide Lassi With. 

The journey continued towards Kuivajärvi, right next to the eastern border, where we  visited the famous folk-lore singerJussi Huovinen, who has cherished the Carelian tradition in Kuivajärvi and he has been  awarded for his work many times.
Meeting with Jussi Huovinen was touchy, warm and educating. For years he had met with our ex-president Lennart Meri. Mr Huovinen kindly sang us the old Carelian wedding song and as a farewell song he sang the Esstonian anthem in the Estonian language!
