Evening at Taivalkoski

Afterr a very long journey from Illuka to Northern Finland  we are finally in the hotel Ruska where we are enjoying a nice cmofortable acommodation!
We started our trip at 4 am and arrived at 8.40. So now we need a good rest and tomorrow we are beginning with  our project activities - meeting with pupils and teachers, workshops and presentations.

Welcome to the wonderland of the Finnish epic Kalevala!

It is time for a new project year!
Taivalkoskin Peruskoulu  and Illuka Kool are partners in the new Nordplus project "Footprints of Kalevala". 

Our previous project was a success. So we decided to continue and chose the topic which is relevant for both Estonian and Finnish people: our rich folk-lore, our ancient contacts, our differences and similarities; how we have influenced each other through centuries.
We focus on Kalevala in the first place, but we  give also attention to Kalevipoeg as the younger brother of Kalevala. 
Our first meeting takes place 28th Sept - 2nd Oct in Taivalkoski. This is going to be a great time and everyone here in Illuka is waiting for it with excitement!
